Previn Jones
Previn Jones has traveled the country with a message of positive change to help both individuals and organizations achieve maximized results. As a public relations strategist, Previn has planned, implemented and executed multiple public relations campaigns for elected officials, non-profits and corporate sector clients. As a former political staffer, Previn held key positions in communications and policy, eventually working his way up to Chief of Staff.
After leaving public service, Previn founded CES Public Relations an integrated public relations firm specializing in public affairs, strategic communications, government and media relations. Previn is also a partner in the CES Management Group a successful real estate investment and property management business. Starting with one rental property in 2009, CES has grown to over 85 units under management.
Tamika Smith
Working in the not for profit sector is a commitment Tamika Smith has taken upon herself in her work with both Empower with Purpose as well as another large Houston based non-profit. Realizing that it takes a village to raise a child and offer that child all of the tools he/she needs to personally succeed, Tamika works daily to share her talents with those who can learn and benefit from them. With herpassion for numbers and the encouragement of her parents, she graduated from Southern University at Shreveport with a degree in Accounting. No challenge was too great for Tamika to take on.
Tamika’s accomplishments did not end there. She has since furthered her education with specialization in Accounts Payable Management as well as Child Abuse Prevention, both of which she holds additional certifications in.
Today, Tamika encourages her daughter as well as other teenage girls, by reinforcing to them that anything is possible with determination. Her life example teaches us to set goals and follow our dreams. Many goals that seem unattainable can, with hard work and perseverance, be attained.
In addition to her passion for non-profit work and being an inspirational and uplifting role model, Tamika also enjoys singing, and dancing in her spare time.
